Trantwood Elementary School

The modernization program for Trantwood Elementary School addressed site circulation issues, reprogrammed and renovated the 56,344 foot existing facility and provided a 38,000 square foot addition constructed in 4 phases over a 24 month period, thus keeping the facility in operation during construction.

The result of the modernization is a facility with a useful life expectancy of 25 years minimum, and one that will provide the same educational amenities as the new prototype elementary schools currently under construction in the Virginia Beach City Public School System.
